AHA COURSES TEACHING PEDIATRIC CPR AND FIRST AID ARE APPROVED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR DAY CARE PROVIDERS AND DO NOT REQUIRE THE ADDITIONAL EMSA STICKERS
 

The BLS Healthcare Provider class is designed to prepare anyone in the healthcare industry to identify and respond to certain life-threatening emergencies, provide quality CPR, use an AED machine, and relieve choking effectively. This course includes adult, child, and infant rescue skills and is available to anyone who desires to become credentialed in BLS Healthcare.  This class is taught with the use of video aids and verbal instruction. AHA Student Work book is required.

The following type of professionals may need this course:  Nurse, Nursing Student, Medical Assistant, Physician, Dentist, Dental Staff, Police Officer, CNA, Fire Fighter, EMT, Physical/Occupational Therapist, or anyone working in the healthcare profession.

In this course you will learn:

  1. Single person CPR to one adult, child, and infant victim (CPR manikin will be used as victims)

  2. Two person CPR to one adult, child, and infant victim (CPR manikin will be used as victims)

  3. Identifying the signs and symptoms of an airway obstruction and the proper dislodging methods

  4. Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine

  5. How to perform Bag-Mask Ventilation

  6. How to Identify the early warning signs of cardiac arrest and stroke



Class is approximately 4 hours in duration (length depends on the class size).


You must pass a skills evaluation on a manikin, and a written exam.


This course meets the requirements for adult, child and infant CPR, and basic life saving skills, as
outlined by the 2015 AHA guidelines.


Certification is valid for 2 years.

Neighbor Saver CPR  reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the course non-viable.  If Neighbor Saver cancels, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund credited back to the original credit card used for payment, or reschedule for another date without additional registration fee.

E-CARDS ARE HERE! eCards are the electronic equivalent of a printed course completion card and are provided to students instead of a printed card. eCards are valid course completion cards and can be presented to employers as proof of successful completion of an AHA course. Like printed cards, eCards also expire two years from the issue date.  eCards provide higher security than print cards and reduce the risk of counterfeit cards, they also will allow for data driven, continuous quality improvement in AHA CPR and ECC training. You never have to replace a lost or damaged card, just carry it with you on your mobile device or printed it as many times as you need to; forward it to your employer by email or text, its that simple!
